Shantala Subramanyam

Shantala Subramanyam has made a name for herself as ambassador for the Southern Indian classical, or carnatic, music. She is one of few professional women performers on the Indian bamboo flute venu, and a musician who both plays and tells stories about the music with great expression and thought.

In this concert she brings a traditional trio with mridangam drum, violin and flute. Join us into the southern Indian musical world of ragas, sophisticated compositions and improvisations!
